San Francisco Victim Dies 2 Weeks After Shooting

The shooting happened in the area of Sixth and Jessie streets.

SAN FRANCISCO — Someone died after being injured in a shooting in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood earlier this month, police said Thursday.

The shooting was reported at 4:48 a.m. on April 13 in the area of Sixth and Jessie streets. The victim was taken to a hospital and later succumbed to their injuries, according to San Francisco police.

The name of the victim and when they died were not immediately available.

Police said no arrest has been made in the case as of Thursday. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact San Francisco police at (415) 575-4444 or can send a tip by text message to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
