SF Police Offers $50,000 Reward For Information On Deadly Mission District Shooting

The shooting happened the morning of Aug. 5, 2024, in the 3300 block of 20th Street, according to police.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The San Francisco Police Department is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man in the city's Mission District last year.

Police say 32-year-old San Francisco resident Keith Albert was in the 3300 block of 20th Street on Aug. 5, 2024, when someone shot him around 5 a.m.

Medics treated Albert at the scene, performing life-saving efforts, according to police. But he died at the scene.

It's unclear why the suspect shot Albert. It appears, however, the 32-year-old and the suspect or suspects were involved in a physical assault before the shooting, according to the SFPD.

Police are now asking for help in finding whoever was responsible for Albert's death.

On Friday, they released a photo of a suspect wearing dark clothing, red gloves, glasses and carrying a grey backpack.

The SFPD asks that anyone who recognizes the suspects or has more information contact investigators at 415-553-9249 or through the department's operations center at 415-553-1071. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can submit information through a tip line at 415-575-4444.
