This NorCal Airport Has One Of America's Least-Safe Baggage Claims: Ranking
The airport came in eighth on the list.
SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco International Airport has one of the least safe baggage claims in America, according to a recent ranking.
Airline compensation company AirAdvisor compiled the ranking to determine where travelers are most likely to have their bag stolen, taking into account Google search instances for lost luggage, distance from gate to baggage claim, Google rating, negative Yelp reviews and passenger volume.
San Francisco came in eighth on the list, between George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston at No. 7 and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at No. 9.

Oakland International Airport and San Jose Mineta International Airport were not on the list.
According to the ranking, the least safe baggage claims are at No. 1-ranked Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport followed by Los Angeles International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, respectively.

The country’s safest baggage claim is at Helena Regional Airport in Montana, according to AirAdvisor.
