SFPD Rescues Dog from Hot Car Near Golden Gate Park
Police said officers found a door to the vehicle unlocked, and while the windows were cracked a bit, the car was hot inside.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA: A black Labrador named Thor was rescued from a hot car Sunday afternoon near Golden Gate Park, the San Francisco Police Department said. Officers responded at 1:22 p.m. on reports of a dog being locked in an overheating vehicle on Fulton at Parson Streets, according to police.
Police said officers found a door to the vehicle unlocked, and while the windows were cracked a bit, the car was hot inside. According to police, the dog drank lots of water after he was let out of the vehicle and Animal Care and Control were contacted.
The dog was taken by ACC, and the driver was cited and will have to appear at a hearing to pick up his dog.
