Prosecutors say the suspect fled the scene on a scooter but was located less than two hours later
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — One of multiple people involved in a deadly shooting in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood earlier this week has been arrested and charged with murder, prosecutors said.
Deon Jackson, 49, has been charged with murder, along with two counts each of discharging a firearm at an occupied motor vehicle, second-degree robbery, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of an assault weapon, the San Francisco District Attorney's Office said.
The murder charge includes an allegation that he personally and intentionally used a firearm in the commission of the murder and a special circumstance allegation that the murder was committed during the commission of a robbery.

Prosecutors say Jackson and two other people were seen on surveillance cameras the morning of Dec. 6 looking into a man's car in the 100 block of Turk Street.
Jackson can then be seen pulling out a gun, opening the car's front door and firing into the vehicle, prosecutors said.

Another suspect, who has yet to be identified, was seen in the video taking items from the man's car, prosecutors said.
Officers responded to the scene, where they found the man still inside the vehicle with at least one gunshot wound, police said.
Officers rendered aid to the man, including CPR, until paramedics arrived to take over the life-saving measures, police said.
Despite their efforts, the man died at the scene, police said. Police have not publicly released the man's identity.
Jackson, who fled the scene on a black scooter towards the 300 block of Taylor Street, was arrested by authorities less than two hours later in connection with the fatal shooting, prosecutors said.
Jackson is due in court Dec. 18 for a preliminary hearing. He is currently being held without bail, prosecutors said.
