Treasure Island Victim Punched, Robbed While Taking Photos

Officials say the 68-year-old man was attacked and his camera equipment was taken.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA- A man was attacked and robbed while he was taking photos on San Francisco's Treasure Island on Wednesday morning, according to police.

The robbery occurred around 11:20 a.m. when the 68-year-old victim was taking pictures in the area of First Street and Avenue of the Palms, according to police.

A suspect in a dark blue Porsche Cayenne got out of the vehicle and approached the victim, punching him and knocking his camera to the ground. The suspect then picked up the victim's camera, tripod, lens and case and fled the area, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries No arrest had been made in the case as of this morning, police said.
