Woman Arrested In Deadly SF Hit-And-Run Crash: Police

Police say the driver struck a pedestrian in the area of Cortland Avenue and Anderson Street before leaving the scene.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A woman has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead in San Francisco earlier this month, police said.

The driver was traveling in the area of Cortland Avenue and Anderson Street around 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, when they struck a pedestrian, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The person in the car then drove away from the scene, police said.

The pedestrian, who suffered life-threatening injuries when they were struck, was taken to a local hospital, where they died, police said. Their identity was not immediately revealed.

Detectives later identified the driver who struck the pedestrian as 21-year-old San Francisco resident Perla Rosario Henriquez Ulloa, police said.

The 21-year-old was arrested Thursday on suspicion of hit-and-run, hit-and-run resulting in death, vehicular manslaughter, breaking basic speed law and destroying ot concealing evidence, police said.
