Worker Killed in Moscone Center Construction Accident Identified
The incident is under investigation both by the Police Department's traffic collision investigation unit and Cal/OSHA.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA: A worker killed at a construction site at the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco on Friday has been identified as 61-year-old San Francisco resident Gustavo Acevedo, according to the San Francisco medical examiner's office.
Acevedo was killed shortly after 8 a.m. Friday while operating a cherry picker on a ramp that goes below ground on Third Street between Folsom and Howard streets, police said. According to the California Department of Occupational Safety and Health and police, Acevedo, a truck driver employed by Ahern Rentals, was crushed between an aerial lift basket and an overhead concrete beam.
His co-workers witnessed the accident and brought him down immediately, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The incident is under investigation both by the Police Department's traffic collision investigation unit and Cal/OSHA.
