• Hoffarth wins Trailer Figure 8 season championship: Second in overall Night of Destruction points (myvalleynews.com) — San Jacinto resident Lane Hoffarth captured the 2025 Trailer Figure 8 season championship at Perris Auto Speedway, racing a converted minivan while finishing second overall in Night of Destruction points. The longtime local business owner fields a family racing team, with his sons also competing. He’s already eyeing more classes and another title run in the track’s 30th year.
   

• 72 Arrested In Targeted Operation In Hemet, San Jacinto (patch.com) — Law enforcement agencies carried out a large multi-agency sweep in Hemet and San Jacinto, leading to 74 arrests and the seizure of multiple illegal drugs and firearms. Deputies also recovered a stolen motorcycle after a pursuit into Riverside. The operation involved 80 personnel from several local police departments, county probation, state parole, and the CHP.
