Archie Williams High Readies For NCS Baseball Playoff Opener

SAN ANSELMO, CA – Archie Williams High will play host to Albany Tuesday in a North Coast Section Division III first-round playoff game.

The Peregrine Falcons (13-13) are the No. 6 seed, and Albany (12-11-1) is a No. 11 seed.

Archie Williams is led by senior Jonas Salk, a power-hitting shortstop who batted .328 (21 for 64) with 10 extra-base hits including four home runs and 14 RBI in 24 games.

Senior pitcher/first baseman Cal Amborn hit .305 and had 15 RBI and senior Noah Strobel lead the team with 16 RBI.

Albany is led by senior outfielder Cole Curtis, who is batting .425 (31 for 73) and leads the team with five home runs and 20 RBI.

The winner of Tuesday’s game will play on Thursday against the winner of Tuesday’s game between No. 3 West County of Sebastopol and No. 14 Alhambra of Martinez.
