The inference of the graffiti is that the 1% lives here. And, they might not be wrong.

As has grown and spread across the country, debates about income inequality have intensified, pitting the 1% of households against the majority of earners -- the 99%.
But, with the top 1% of households in the country earning more than $343,927, according to IRS data from 2009, that actually encompasses a significant percentage of households in Marin. According to 2009 community survey estimates, the median income in Marin is $89,019, making it one of the richest counties in the country, and 15.2% of households make more than $200,000.
