Boy Approached by Suspicious Man in Car

Driver asks if he wants to take a ride.

A ten-year-old boy reported that he was riding his bike on Butterfield Road at 8 a.m. this morning when a car approached and the driver asked if he wanted to go for a ride.

The boy described the car as blue or green, according to the San Anselmo Police Department, with a square back and three horizontal lines across the brakelights.

The driver, reportedly a Hispanic male with a buzzed haircut, wearing a white t-shirt and gold chain with a cross, asked the boy if he "wanted to go for a ride."

Police said they searched for the car, which drove away, but it was not located.
