Residents leave trees on curb. Vandals on the prowl.

Multiple Christmas trees left out for pick-up were lit on fire by vandals in San Anselmo this past weekend.

An examination of the Sleepy Hollow area found one other unburn tree nearby had been dragged into the street. Officers also found remnants of two burned trees in the center of the road on Woodland Avenue.

Gorwood said the fires were intentially set and that the vandal avoided threatening structures by dragging the trees into the middle of the road.
