The debate over the possible, maybe, rumored Phil Lesh venue just keeps going and going and going at .
:
I think we should find out what this venue is first before getting up in arms. I don't think Phil intends to operate this venue as a normal Nightclub would have to operate (meaning open every night, serving alcohol to pay the bills, having large acts) Because Phil makes his $ in a myriad of other ways, this venue doesn't need to be a $$ making venture for him.

We don't know yet, and maybe just maybe, the hysteria over what it might be (Traffic, Hippies, People Pooping in yards and People Smiling cause they are listening to good Music) is unfounded.
Residents also continue to think as to raise funds for the town.

I moved to Fairfax in 2003. Almost every election since that time has had a ballot measure regarding funding for the town of Fairfax and/or services related to the town. Some of the votes have been to extend existing bonds and others have been requests for new funding. All warned of dire circumstances the community would face if we did not pass them. We seem to have a break down in government that has nothing to do with the current fiscal crisis. We want a vital community that offers services to the community and draws visitors to enjoy and spend. Is this ever the focus of our elected officials? There is always lots of talk from the council but I never hear discussion about ways to generate income for the town that would be sustainable and long term.Â
And on Two Incidents at White Hill Prompt Letter to Parents, readers argue over whether or not BB guns constitute a real danger for kids.
:
Sure, it's not appropriate to bring guns like this to school but let's get a little perspective. I grew up in the country and guns were just a part of life, so hearing that a kid brought his target pistols to school to show his friends doesn't seem like that big a deal. There's nothing in any of this that make me believe he brought them in with the intention of hurting anyone. If he's found to have used them to intimidate other kids than that's very different and tough action needs to be taken but otherwise it's a relatively benign teachable moment.

Bringing a gun to school is never ok regardless of the intent. Even if guns are "ok" for a family in regards to hunting, protection...lets get real!
