Fairfax Adopts Minimum Wage Hike

The mandated wage hike is based on a 1.6 percent Consumer Price Index increase according a staff report in support of the resolution.

FAIRFAX, CA — The Fairfax Town Council earlier this month voted to give its lowest wage earners a raise.

The council at its Aug. 4 meeting voted in favor of an ordinance to increase the town’s living wage to $21.02 for employees receiving benefits and $24.03 for those without.

The town’s previous living wage was $20.37 for employees with benefits and $23.28 for those without.
