Fairfax Art Event Is For The Birds

The town's Oct. 17 Art in the Parkade Reception event will showcase Marguerite Elliot's sculpture titled "Where Have All The Birds Gone?"

FAIRFAX, CA —The town of Fairfax later this month will hold an arts event, and it’s for the birds.

The town’s Oct. 17 Art in the Parkade Reception event will showcase artist Marguerite Elliot’s sculpture titled “Where Have All The Birds Gone?”

Her sculpture highlights the disappearance of 2.9 million birds in the last 50 years.

Elliot is holding the reception in partnership with Art X Marin. Light refreshments will be served and there will be live music.

Elliot’s art installation is sponsored by and has been approved by the town’s Parks & Recreation Commission.

The event will be held at the Parkade (238 Broadway Blvd.) Oct. 17 from 4 to 6 p.m.
