Fairfax Brewery Owners End 17-Year Run

But departing Iron Springs owners assures Central Marin residents they can expect "stoke-alishes great beer" from new brewery owners.

FAIRFAX, CA — The owners of a popular Fairfax brewery have sold their business, ending Michael Altman and Anne Dubinsky Altman’s 17-year run.

Iron Springs Pub & Brewery has sold to Santa Rosa-based HenHouse Brewing Company, the Altmans confirmed in a Facebook post.

The deal was first reported by The Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

“This was a very difficult decision to make, but at the end of the day this move is really a win-win for all,” Michael Altman wrote on the company's Facebook page.

Altman’s brewing background goes back nearly 30 years. He got his start at Mcmenamins in Boulder, Colorado.

“… it has been an incredible run. Now it’s time for the next adventure,” he said.

“We could not have asked for a better narrative being able to hand off our baby to an organization we have great respect for. HenHouse shares the same beliefs we do when it comes to giving back to the community and they make some stoke-alishes great beer!
