Fairfax Community Mural Painting Volunteers Sought
The town of Fairfax is inviting volunteers to join in the painting of Community Mural on Oct. 10, 17 and 24.

FAIRFAX, CA — A community project that began over the summer is continuing this month.
The town of Fairfax is inviting volunteers to join in the painting of Community Mural on Merwin Avenue on the next three Sundays this month (Oct. 10, 17 and 24).
Volunteers are asked to meet at 10 a.m. near the Ace Hardware store on Merwin Avenue on all three days.

The mural has been undergoing renovations that will culminate with a new painting nearly 30 years after it was first unveiled.
“Please come on down, and bring your friends,” the town said in a statement.

“Great thanks to all the cleaning and painting volunteers who have donated over 100 hours of on this project so far.”
The renovations are sponsored by the Fairfax Volunteer Board, which launched the project in April.
