Fairfax Police: Car Stolen With Keys In It, Fight Over Text Messaging, Chickens on the Loose

Thursday, March 3

Suspicious Person: There was a report of a man wearing a bathrobe and no shoes watching the kids walk to school on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:28 a.m.

Child Abuse: A report was cross-filed of possible child abuse.

Accident – Non-Injury: A car appeared to have rolled back, after the emergency brake dialed, on Spruce Road.

Noise: There was loud drumming on Spruce Road at 7:44 p.m.

Warrant Traffic: Dispatch heard a loud verbal altercation between a man and woman in the area outside the police department at 8:37 p.m.

Wednesday, March 2

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident’s dog was barking at School Street and looking towards Merwin Street at 2:42 a.m. She thinks there might be someone outside.

Hit and Run: The stop sign at Manor and Rock Ridge Roads has been knocked down and there was a license plate on the ground by the sign. An officer located the responsible and cited him.

Civil Problem: A Fairfax resident ordered a car and driver for several hours this morning and is now saying he can’t pay them until later.

Animal Complaint: A dog was found wandering in the rain in front of Town Hall at 3:11 p.m.

Fraud: A resident needs to file a documentation for credit card fraud.

Theft: A resident reported her bike missing on Piper Court. She last saw it a week ago.

Fire: Flames were coming out of one of the dryers at Coin Washing Well at 4:37 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence: A subject hit a woman’s car backing up in Good Earth’s parking lot. He exchanged information with her, but she was concerned he could be under the influence.

Animal Complaint: A dog was wandering around Creekside Apartments with no owner or tags at 6:41 p.m.

Welfare Check: A resident received a phone call with secondhand information that there was severe domestic violence in a household and the mother was terrified of the boyfriend. Officer determined everyone was ok.

Suspicious Circumstances: A woman saw a car come one-third of the way up her driveway on Woodland Road, then backed up at 7:55 p.m.

Juveniles: A woman’s 16-year-old son has been screaming and threatening to hit his brother. It was an argument over text messaging.

Stolen Vehicle: A car was stolen on School Street Plaza. He left the keys in the car and someone took it.

Tuesday, March 1

Theft: A resident wanted to report a theft and assault at 3:29 a.m.

Welfare Check: A resident reported that someone was on his roof on Pine Drive, moving a bike around, at 5:24 a.m. Officers found the complaint unfounded.

Barking Dog: There was an ongoing issue with a dog barking on Spruce Road at 9:59 a.m. The resident wanted the owner informed he will be reporting the dog as abused to the Humane Society.

Animal Complaint: There were chickens in the road on Manor Road at 11:41 a.m.

Driving without a License: A subject was cited for driving without a license on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:56 p.m.

Theft: A resident wanted to report her bike stolen from her porch on Feb. 19.

Sleeper: There was a trailer parked across from the lumber yard for the past two nights and it is believed someone was sleeping in it.

Domestic Violence/Disturbance: A resident called because his wife was drunk and under the influence of cocaine and walking towards her car after an argument on Park Road at 10:01 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 28

Driving on a Suspended License: A subject was cited for driving on a suspended license on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:38 p.m.

Insanity Case: A resident was taken into protective custody and transported to the hospital at 5:18 p.m.
