Fairfax Seeks Public’s Input On Outdoor Dining
The outdoor permits were initially given out in November. In May they were extended for one year, town officials said.
FAIRFAX, CA — The town of Fairfax has issued a survey seeking the public’s input on its outdoor dining program.
The Town Council in November started issuing permits to restaurants and dance and yoga studios for temporary encroachment on public space amid the pandemic.
Temporary use permits were also issued for businesses to use outdoor space on private property adjacent to their businesses.

The permits were extended in May for one year.
“We invite you to participate in our Outdoor Dining survey and share your thoughts about the current use, and potential future uses of public space in the downtown,” city officials said.
