Fairfax Seeks Volunteers For ‘Town-Wide’ Picnic

The town-wide picnic is scheduled to be held Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Contratti Ball Field.

FAIRFAX, CA — The town of Fairfax is seeking volunteers for its annual picnic.

The town-wide picnic is scheduled to be held Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Contratti Ball Field.

The community event will feature old-fashioned games along with arts and crafts activities.

A music lineup will feature the teen band Banana Soup, Nick Brown & Friends and Last Chance Summer Dance, which will feature 80's Motown dance music assembled by Jason Minkler.

“We could really use some help to put on this wonderful event,” town officials said in a statement.

Volunteers are needed to help set up in the morning, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The set up involves putting up pop up tents, setting up tables and chairs, putting up signs, and picking up supplies.

The town also need help for clean up after the event, from 5 to 6 p.m. This will involve taking down the pop-up tents, cleaning up the ball field, and returning items to various places.
