Fairfax Town Picnic: POLL - Which Neighborhood Are You?
Every neighborhood gets an assigned color at this Sunday's town picnic.
Are you a gray or more of a lime green?
At the sixth annual , this Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the ballfield, every resident will be assigned a color -- but it's not based on your eyes, it's based on your neighborhood.

When you arrive at the ballfield, ready for music, games and food, you'll recieve a colored plastic wristband, making it easier to identify your neighbors. And, of course, helping to get some town rivalry going.

- East Fairfax - Gray
- Willow - Lime Green
- Taylor/Rocca - Dark Blue
- Park - Forest Green
- Manor Hill - Red
- Laurel - Turquoise
- Deer Park - Black
- Dominga/Downtown - Purple
- Olema/Bothin - Yellow
- Marinda/Oak Manor - Orange
- Cascade - Maroon
- West End - Green
- Outside Fairfax - Gold
Music at the free town picnic, put on by the Fairfax Volunteers and sponsored by , will be provided by Revolver and the event will kick off with a singing of at 12:45 p.m. Bring your own picnic or purchase food from 's.
The real competition, though, starts at 2 p.m. with sack races, egg races, three-legged races, suitcase races, and a watermelon eating contest. Are you going to compete?
