FAIRFAX, CA — Fairfax has launched a new program that aims to expedite sidewalk repairs.

The Town’s Sidewalk Repair Program waives encroachment permit fees for sidewalk repairs and is also offering a 50 percent matching grant of up to $1,000 for construction costs.

The matching grant is subject to the availability of funds.

Upon approval of an application, funding will be reserved for the project.

“Be sure to apply for the program before you start repairs, the Town will NOT reimburse applicants for any expenses incurred for past sidewalk repair work or prior to the approval of their application,” officials said.
