Father's Day: What's the Best Advice Your Dad Ever Gave You?
And what are you doing Sunday?

In celebration of Father's Day on Sunday (yes, remember, it's on Sunday!), we're asking for the best advice your dad ever gave you. For every one who grew up with a father figure, one thing's for sure: He was always full of advice. Always.
Whether that advice was useful at all is another story. But if there's something dads are good at, it's giving instruction and direction.

"The best advice my father gave me: 'Remember, before doing anything in life, if what you do/say cannot be printed on the headlines of every magazine on the planet, you probably shouldn't do it.' I have to say, it certainly keeps one honest," AlwaysFrugal recalled.
"Drive as if everyone else on the road is crazy," the father of NJNCPS warned.

So, now we're asking you: what's the best advice your dad every gave you.
And what are you doing in the Ross Valley area to celebrate? Is there a favorite restaurant to take Dad out for brunch? Do you have a special store where you go to buy some of his favorite things?
Maybe the family is gathering to have that first of the summer backyard picnics, or doing the opposite and everyone is headed out of the house while he settles in to watch the Giants play the A's at 1 p.m.
Heck, maybe the Father's Day present is tickets to the game, with a nice dinner afterward.
So, come on, share with everyone your best ideas to celebrate Father's Day. And, the best advice you took from your dad. I'm sure he'd appreciate knowing you listened all those years ago.
