Five Marin Restaurants Make Michelin’s 2013 Bay Area Bib Gourmand List

Michelin this week released its 2013 Bib Gourmand picks, the annual Michelin Guide to the best Bay Area dining, and five Marin restaurants made the list.

They were led by Insalata's and Marinitas, Heidi Krahling's two San Anselmo restaurants. Brick and Bottle in Corte Madera also made the list, as did Sushi Ran and Le Garage in Sausalito.

According to the release, the 2013 Bib Gourmands “…were selected by Michelin’s esteemed and anonymous food inspectors and they represent restaurants that serve two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less (tax and gratuity not included). Most importantly, they are the restaurants that the company’s inspectors frequent themselves.”
