Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

The part of this movie that I liked most was the action, especially a fun, exciting chase involving a loose wheel from an old mill.

The story happens in Port Royal, where the royal navy is, and different islands in the Caribbean, between North and South America. It is mostly ocean, and usually stormy.

Davey Jones is the Captain of the Flying Dutchman. When he tore his heart from his chest he became cursed and was turned into a sea monster. Now, his heart lies in a chest in some random place and everyone wants to find it. If you find it and stab it with a sword, you will kill Davey Jones and rule the sea.

The leaders in Port Royal send Admiral Norrington to find the key to the chest. The pirate Jack Sparrow and his good friend Will Turner are also trying to find it. Will Turner is in love with Elizabeth Swan.  

On a stormy night, Will Turner sneaks onto Davey Jones’s ship and happens to see where the key is. Will Turner finds the key to the chest and then Jack Sparrow steals it.

Jack Sparrow has a compass that doesn’t point North, but instead to the thing you want most. The compass takes Jack to an unnamed Caribbean island. Eventually, everybody finds the island where the heart is hidden, and this is the most awesome part in the whole movie.

When everyone finds the heart they start chasing each other and fighting over it. They come upon a way old mill. They climb up the steps and jump onto the roof. Jack Sparrow loses his sword and when he jumps down after it, he falls into a pit. Meanwhile, Admiral Norrington and Will Turner jump onto the mill’s wheel, but since it’s old it rolls away. Meanwhile, Jack Sparrow pops his head out of the pit. Then the wheel rolls over him. The wheel pulls Jack Sparrow out of the pit and he manages to stay on it. Someone does retrieve the heart.

At the end of the movie, Jack Sparrow is stranded in Davey Jones’ Locker, also called the Land of the Dead. Davey Jones sails away on his ship and Will Turner leaves on a rowboat with Elizabeth Swan and with the rest of the crew.

In the Pirates of the Caribbean there are no good guys or bad guys.  Everyone is a pirate.
