Longtime San Anselmo Business Goes Under New Ownership: Report

SAN ANSELMO, CA – A longtime Marin business is going under new ownership.

San Anselmo’s Fig Garden (421 San Anselmo Ave.) owner Lesley Madison has sold the business, ending a run of family ownership that lasted nearly a half a century, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

Fig Garden’s new owner, Patricia Richard, plans to keep the shops two longtime staffers aboard, according to the report.

“It’s time,” Madison told the news outlet.

“There are things I’ve been wanting to do, and after 30 years, I’d like to do them. And it’s always good to end on a good note.”
