Petaluma police said detectives were reviewing the camera footage Wednesday when they saw the suspect, identified as Charles Korrell, 44, of Ross, recording himself as he placed the camera into the litter box.
After detectives confirmed Korrell is the homeowner's ex-husband and was at the graduation party, they obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Korrell was arrested Thursday morning in Corte Madera. He was booked into Marin County jail on suspicion of peeping and his bail was set at $15,000.
Detectives served a search warrant at Korrell's residence in Ross where they seized potential electronic evidence to process and further examine, police said.
