Marin Museum Readies For Reopening
The Marin History Museum will hold its reopening ceremony Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — The Marin History Museum is readying for what it’s calling a “grand opening.”
The museum will hold its reopening ceremony Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.
The MHM’s long anticipated return to the San Rafael’s landmark Boyd Gate House follows the museum’s future being shrouded in uncertainty following its 2015 closure.

The museum’s first exhibit, “Great Heights,” will feature 18 black-and-white aerial photos of Marin from 1955-65.

“The images are at once fascinating and beautiful,” the museum wrote in a Facebook post promoting the reopening.
The event will also feature a walking tour showcasing the Boyd Gate House’s history, which starts at 2 p.m. at the Boyd Park entrance.
