Officer, Where’s My Car?
The Fairfax police log for July 20-24 includes juvenile issues and someone who forgot where they parked their car.

Tuesday, July 24
Suspicious circumstances: Java Hut on Center Blvd. 12:15 p.m. Officers went to investigate a prior complaint of harassment. Officers located a subject in the area, developed evidence and arrested him. Subject was booked into the Marin County Jail.

Miscellaneous Service: Youth Center on Park Road. 9 p.m. Officer checked the plumbing problem in the kitchen.
Warrant Criminal: Azalea Avenue. 9:11 p.m. Officers attempted to locate a subject with an arrest warrant. Subject wasn’t there.

Noise complaint: Bolinas Rd. 10:40 p.m. Loud music coming from a car stereo in the parking lot. Caller could hear the bass sounds from inside his residence. Heard only - no description. Subjects were abated from the area.
Monday, July 23
Vandalism: Sherwood Oaks Apartments on Bolinas Road. 8:14 a.m. Caller said his vehicle was vandalized last night while parked on the street.
Animal complaint: Bothin Road. 11:29 a.m. German Shepherd came into the reporting person’s house and was frothing at the mouth and growling.
Traffic complaint: Forrest Avenue. 4:21 p.m. Request for extra patrol for speeding vehicles in the area.
Assist: Per Park on Park Road. 5:38 p.m. Reporting person advised of a broken side board on the bridge near the large play structure. Kids are using it as a shortcut.
Deer: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 10:28 p.m. A deer was hit by a vehicle and took off. Deer is in the gutter area of the roadway and is seriously injured. No description of the vehicle. Humane responded and removed the deer.
Sunday, July 22
Juvenile problem: Maple Avenue. 12:54 a.m. Teenage party, yelling and drinking and throwing things, approximately 25 people.
Alcohol violation: Ernst Kuehn Automotive, Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 8:45 a.m. Officer contacted a man and cited him for an open container of alcohol.
Traffic complaint: Iron Springs Road. 10:16 a.m. Traffic jam on the roadway due to an event happening at the Boy Scout camp.
Citizen assist: Fairfax Variety on Broadway. 6:57 p.m. Reporting person parked her car around 2 p.m. and it’s not there now. Officer was able to locate the reporting person’s car in the area. Reporting person had forgotten where she had parked it.
Welfare check: Arrowwood Lane. 7:28 p.m. A 911 call requesting a welfare check on a suicidal subject. Reporting person received a suicide note via a text message. Subject supposedly in the open space area. Reporting person subsequently received another text message from the person claiming to be at another location outside of Fairfax.
Insanity case: Four Winds West on Oak Tree Lane. 8:06 p.m. Client is talking about jumping off the bridge. Subject took his meds and won’t follow directions.
Trespassing: Residence on Maple Avenue. 8:58 p.m. There is a trespassing letter for nobody under 25 years old to be there. The father is not there (third night in a row). There is a car parked in front and caller thinks there is a party starting. Disposition: citation issued.
Suspicious circumstances: Park Road. 9:27 p.m. Her son’s father had been receiving letters from a woman who was obsessed with him. That woman showed up at the victim’s residence today and the subject sat outside for half an hour, speaking in an angry manner.
Saturday, July 21
Juvenile problem: Maple Avenue. 4:08 a.m. Reporting of 3-6 juveniles in the area being loud, setting off car alarms and throwing things. An officer responded and determined that the complaint was unfounded and that the car alarm had been set off accidentally.
Missing person: Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Ross. Missing 4-year-old for 30 minutes now. Juvenile located, hiding under a couch.
Traffic complaint: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 4:29 p.m. Vehicle keeps prematurely running through stop lights a couple of seconds before the light turns green.
Trespassing: Piper Court. 4:45 p.m. Sometime opened the rear door to the reporting person’s apartment and left it open, along with a window. Nothing is missing or out of place but the caller finds it suspicious and wants it documented only.
Alcohol violation: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 6:10 p.m. A green sedan occupied by four subjects drinking beer and throwing cans into the street.
Friday, July 20
Bike theft: Fairfax Library on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Reporting person’s son’s bicycle was stolen two weeks ago.
Domestic violence/disturbance: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Report of a domestic issue. Officers responded and a report was taken.
Domestic violence/disturbance: Porteous Avenue. 10:32 p.m. 911 hang-up. Possible domestic dispute. Officers responded and determined no merit to domestic violence. Parties were separated.
Theft: Fairfax Theatre on Broadway. 10:39 p.m. Reporting person said his son’s bicycle was stolen.
