Overturned Car in San Geronimo

Driver traveled across Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and flipped over.

A 71-year-old man from Berkeley, Donald Grether, veered left across traffic on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at San Geronimo Road and flipped over at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Grether was traveling eastbound on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at approximately 45 mph when his Subaru veered left into oncoming traffic and hit a redwood tree on the north side of the road, according to CHP Officer Chris Rardin.

The collision, reportedly, caused the car to flip over and come to rest on its roof, blocking both lanes of traffic.
