Police Log: Public Intoxication at the Fairfax Festival on Saturday and Juveniles Drinking Alcohol

The Fairfax police log for June 6-9 includes several Fairfax Festival-related incidents.

 

 Saturday, June 9

Door banging: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 12:04 a.m. Reporting person said roughly 20 minutes ago an unknown subject banged on her door, then left. RP is very concerned.

Noisy housemates: Park Road. 3:08 a.m. Caller said his housemates are making too much noise. He has asked them to quiet down but they are refusing to do so.

Flooding: Fairfax Park on Bolinas Road and Elsie. 8:22 a.m. Water flooding near the bridge at the creek. Unknown source.

Hazard: Fairfax Park on Bolinas Road and Elsie. 9:17 a.m. A large hole in the walkway near the “craft show.” Caller is afraid someone will fall.

Water balloon throwers: For Paws, Bolinas Road. 10:26 a.m. Complaint of multiple juveniles throwing water balloons in the parade area.

Disturbance: Naves Bar and Grill, Bolinas Road. 1:09 p.m. Verbal argument between a male and female.

Juveniles drinking alcohol: Pacheco Avenue. 2:27 p.m. Down at the creek, near the dam, 10 to 15 juveniles drinking alcohol.

Hit-and-run: Center Blvd. 4:36 p.m. Reporting person was rear-ended by a man in a Chrysler 300, roughly five minutes ago. There was a short altercation and then the subject left on foot toward the festival.

Missing dog: Bolinas Road. 6:29 p.m. Black and grey husky named “Blue” with a blue and brown eye has been missing for an hour. Dog is very friendly.

Public intoxication: Peri’s Silver Dollar on Broadway. 6:53 p.m. Bright orange shirt “Ike” on the front and a “9” on the back.

Unwanted subjects: Lansdale Avenue and Pastori Avenue. 7:09 p.m. Caller reported a group of people gathered in front of her driveway refusing to leave.

Disturbance: Spruce Road and Park Road. 7:51 p.m. Two subjects fighting.

Public intoxication: Naves Bar & Grill on Bolinas Road. 8:03 p.m. Unwanted subject in the bar. Arrest made.

Parking complaint: Frustuck Avenue. 8:10 p.m. Anonymous complaint of a white import-type vehicle parked in the “no parking area” leaving reduced clearance. Reporting person also advises that there is a large juvenile party up the street on Frustuck, which may be the cause.

Noise complaint: Bolinas Road. 8:22 p.m. Large loud party.

Noise complaint: Creek Road. 9:23 p.m. Anonymous complaint of a large party in the area. Reporting person said it is at the first house off the Creek Road bridge.

Noise complaint: Frustuck Avenue. 11:03 p.m. Loud party complaint associated with parking problem in the area.

 

Friday, June 8

 

Vandalism: Pavilion on Bolinas Road. 8 a.m. Two of the reporting person’s tents were vandalized overnight. Vandalism occurred on the creek side of the tent.

Rock thrower returns: Fairfax Market on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 8:36 a.m. A man with a bald head, wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans, threw a rock at the business’ window months ago and is now in front of the premises. The reporting person asked him to leave but the subject is refusing to.

Bike theft: Fairfax Park on Bolinas Road and Elsie. 4:12 p.m. A bicycle was stolen roughly 20 minutes ago from the park. It’s a silver mountain bike with a black and white seat.

Gunshot-like sound: Dominga Avenue. 10:01 p.m. Reporting person just heard what she thought was a single gunshot outside her residence.

 

 

Thursday, June 7

 

Tree limb falls on vehicles: Hickory Road. 6:48 a.m. A tree limb fell on top of the trash truck and another vehicle. Nobody was injured.

Threatening calls: Bolinas Road. 11:09 a.m. Reporting person received threatening phone calls from his ex-wife’s boyfriend.

Citizen assist: Bolinas Road. Reporting person requests advice on an issue she is having with her ex-husband.

 

Wednesday, June 6

 

Two loose pitbulls: Tamalpais Road and Scenic Road. 7:11 a.m. Reporting person said two pit bulls are roaming loose in the street.

Return of the pitbulls: Scenic Road. 8:29 a.m. The pitbulls are loose again.

Wallet gone: Gestalt Haus on Bolinas Road. 4:46 p.m. Reporting person said her wallet was lost or stolen.

Traffic complaint: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Taylor Road. 5:47 p.m. A large station wagon, occupied by at least six people with one sitting in the driver’s lap, is headed toward San Anselmo. The vehicle nearly went off the road at one point and is a hazard.

Lost glasses: Fairfax Farmer’s Market on Elsie Lane and Winnie. 8:48 p.m. Reporting person lost his prescription glasses. They have metal frames (not bifocals) and the lenses are sort of a rectangular shape. They are not in a case. RP would like a phone call if the glasses are found.

Mailbox banging: St. Rita’s Church on Marinda Drive. 9:33 p.m. Two men are banging on the mailbox. Reporting person approached them and they said they worked for the postal service and the lock was broken. They were not in uniform and had no postal vehicle with them. They had some sort of badges around their necks but didn’t show them to the RP. Officer determined it was postal employees doing post office business.

Running from officer: Peri Park, Park Road. Subject ran from an officer who was attempting to contact him inside the park. Officers checked the area but were not able to locate.
