Prescription Fraud, Parents Send Son to Jail for Repeated Theft and $9,000 Stolen From Inside a Book
This eek's roundup of Central Marin Police activities in San Anselmo also includes a sister spat on Scenic Ave. and an employee of a down town business accused of stealing clothes from a nearby retail shop.

–A caller reported her daughter was with a friend in the area of Sir Francis Drake High School and the friend is intoxicated and made suicidal statements. Contact made with the subjects in the area of the gym. A medical response was requested due to the juvenile male subject’s level of intoxication. The father of the subject was contacted and responded to the scene. A San Anselmo juvenile male was arrested for Public Intoxication and released to his father on a juvenile citation.
–A resident of the 30 block of Forbes Ave. reported his unlocked vehicle was entered and ransacked. At the time of report, it appeared nothing was missing.
–A resident of the 100 block of Brookmead Court reported she and her husband had confronted their 17-year-old son who has been stealing large amounts of money from them. They reported they got into a struggle with him and requested CMPA respond. A San Anselmo juvenile male was arrested for Residential Burglary, Forgery, Making a Fictitious Check, Identity Theft and Theft by Misrepresentation as an Access Card Holder. He was booked at the Marin County Juvenile Hall.

–The CVS Pharmacy, located at 880 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., reported the pharmacy had received a fraudulent prescription from a female subject and they thought the subject was still in the store. CMPA Officers checked the store for the subject with negative results. A Commercial Burglary and Prescription Fraud report was taken.
–Pursuant to contacting a subject in the 2400 block of Sir Francis Drake Blvd., the subject was determined to be intoxicated. While still on the scene, officers contacted a second subject who was also determined to be intoxicated. A Fairfax man and a San Rafael man were arrested for Public Intoxication and were booked at the Marin County Jail.

–A business in the 600 block of San Anselmo Ave. reported a theft of clothing valued at $449 by a female subject. The store had video surveillance footage of the theft. Information was obtained from a neighboring store that identified the subject as an employee of another San Anselmo business and they contacted the responsible subject there. The following day, the subject was in the store to return the items and was contacted by CMPA. A Shoplifting report was taken and forwarded to the Marin County District Attorney’s Office.
–A Livermore resident reported that while she was at work at a business in the 400 block of San Anselmo Ave., a female subject stole her iPhone 4S. Documentation was provided for the theft and the cell phone was entered into the Automated Property System. Documentation was provided for the shoplifting.Â
–A resident of the 50 block of Tomahawk Drive reported someone damaged their gate and lock box, and they believed someone was attempting to gain entry to their property. She also found a cigarette butt inside of her husband's vehicle, which was in the garage, and neither of them smoke. They reported other items on the property were tampered with as well; however nothing appears to be missing. A report was taken to document the suspicious circumstances.
–A Tucson, Arizona, resident reported she was assaulted by her sister while she was at her sister's residence in the 60 block of Scenic Ave. She advised she had left the residence and that she refused to press charges against her sister. She also refused any medical assistance. While CMPA Officer's were enroute to retrieve her property from the residence on Scenic Ave, they encountered the sister in the 1300 block of San Anselmo Ave and she was determined to be intoxicated. A San Anselmo woman was arrested for Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest. She was booked at the Marin County Jail.
–The owner of a business in the 10 block of Greenfield Ave. at Sir Francis Drake Blvd. reported approximately $9,000 in cash was taken from his business. He advised that the money was on a shelf in a book. A Commercial Burglary report was taken.
–A caller reported a dog attacked another dog in the area of San Francisco Blvd. and Alderney Road and people are restraining the aggressive dog. A CMPA Officer contacted both dog owners and a report was taken to be forwarded to the Marin Humane Society for follow-up.
–Pursuant to contacting two subjects in the area of Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Sunnyhills Drive, two Novato men were arrested for Possession of Burglary Tools. They were released at the scene on citations.
–A resident of the 40 block of Crest Road reported she and her husband are out of state and their Real Estate Agent notified them that their vehicle is missing from the residence. An Auto Theft report was taken and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. The Officer also determined there had been a burglary at that residence. Taken were two televisions and four watches. A Residential Burglary report was taken as well. There is continued investigation in progress.Â
