San Anselmo​ Man Jailed For Driving Drunk Before 3-Car Crash

No one was injured in the crash involving a Jeep, a Ford truck and a Toyota Prius​.

SAN ANSELMO, CA — A 24-year-old man is accused of driving drunk before a crash Tuesday afternoon on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Police said the man was on probation in Marin County for two DUI convictions at the time of the crash.

According to a statement from police, several 911 callers reported a crash around 5:24 p.m. on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard near Sir Francis Drake High School. A Jeep, a Ford pick-up truck and a Toyota Prius were involved in the crash.

Police said Adam David Grubb, from San Anselmo, first told police he was a passenger in the Jeep before fleeing on foot. Police later said Grubb was found to have been driving the Jeep at the time of the crash.

Grubb was arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail on charges of driving under the influence, vehicle code violation of DUI probation terms and resisting, delaying, or obstructing a police officer investigation.

Sir Francis Drake Boulevard between Saunders Avenue and Broadmoor Avenue was closed for an hour and a half after the crash.
