San Anselmo Police: Felony Drug Arrest, Offensive Signs, Bike Stolen

Sunday, June 19

Warrant Arrest: An officer responded to a report of a woman screaming in the area of Oakland Avenue at 4:02 a.m. On arrival, the officer contacted a man and he said he had been in a verbal argument with his sister. The man was determined to have two misdemeanor warrants out of Marin County and was booked into the county jail.

Reckless Driving: A car was traveling too fast on Lansdale Avenue and nearly hit a bicyclist at 7:45 a.m.

Disturbing the Peace: Officers responded to a verbal altercation between residents on Los Angeles Boulevard at 11:46 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two infants and a dog had been left in an unattended vehicle on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:23 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported a strong odor on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:45 p.m. Officers were unable to locate the source.

Animal: A dog was left in an unattended car on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:45 p.m. Officer noted the windows were cracked and the dog did not appear to be in distress.

Advice: A resident wanted advice about the use of a pellet gun within town limits.

Burglary: A resident reported their bike was stolen while they were having dinner on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:18 p.m. A witness saw two men walking away with it.

Saturday, June 18

Disturbing the Peace: A man was screaming in front of a residence on Oak Knoll Avenue at 12:14 a.m. He was determined to be intoxicated and in violation of his probation and was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Narcotics: Several subjects were engaging in narcotic activity on San Anselmo Avenue at 12:32 a.m. Officers located the subjects and one was arrested for felony drug possession and booked into the county jail. One juvenile was cited and released for drug possession.

Department of Public Works Notification: A water pipe broke and drained into the yard below on Hillside Avenue at 8:37 a.m.

Traffic Control: A group of bicyclists almost hit a pedestrian while she was in the crosswalk on San Anselmo Avenue at 9:10 a.m.

Noise: A subject was playing guitar loudly and with vulgar language on Ross Avenue at 2:04 p.m.

Hit and Run: An unknown person hit a resident’s car and left the area on Shaw Drive at 3:55 p.m.

Fire: There was a structure fire on Essex Avenue at 5:29 p.m.

Citizen Assist: A citizen locked herself out of the house on Berkeley Avenue at 6:24 p.m.

Solicitor: There was a solicitor on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:48 p.m.

Hazard: A subject in a wheelchair was driving down the middle of the street on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:52 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident saw a driver throwing things out his window at pedestrians on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:10 p.m. The car was located with four occupants; there was no evidence anything had been thrown from the vehicle and the driver was issued a citation for violating his provisional license.

Watermain Break: A neighbor’s leaky sprinklers were flooding a resident’s property on Hillside Avenue at 9:38 p.m. Officer located broken sprinklers that had sent a flow of water down to the retaining wall.

Noise: There was a party on San Anselmo Avenue at 11:15 p.m.

Noise: It sounded like a group of people were running around a complex on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and carrying things at 11:55 p.m.

Friday, June 17

Assist: A resident wanted advice regarding his homelessness.

Suspicious Circumstances: Subjects were politically soliciting on San Anselmo Avenue at 2:12 p.m. officers did not note any violations.

Grand Theft: Unknown subjects tried to pry open the back door to a business and stole a shrine from the side of the building on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident said she was involved in a road rage incident with a bicyclist on Red Hill Avenue at 3:50 p.m.

Municipal Code Violation: Protestors were hanging offensive signs from telephone poles on San Anselmo Avenue. Officers warned them of the municipal code and they removed the sign.

Suspicious Person: A subject was going through the trashcan on Bridge Avenue at 6:20 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported a driver yelled at her on Floribel Avenue at 7:56 p.m.

Barking Dog: There was a dog barking on Madrone Avenue at 8:05 p.m.

Warrant Arrest: Officers served a warrant on Broadmoor Avenue at 8:58 p.m. and a man was arrested and booked into the county jail without incident.

Noise: There was a loud party on Brookside Court at 11:27 p.m.
