San Anselmo Police: Juvenile Hit Fire Hydrant, Roommate Trying to Steal Car

The following information was provided by the San Anselmo Police Department. It does not indicate conviction.

Sunday, Oct. 9

Under 21 <.01 BAC: A car hit something on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:04 a.m. Officers located a damaged fire hydrant with water rushing into the street. Ross Police Department located the responsible car with subjects inside. A juvenile was arrested for Juvenile DUI. He was cited and released to his parents. The passengers were also released to parents and the car was towed.

Municipal Code Violation: A large handmade sign was near the road on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, between Butterfield and Suffield.

Hit and Run: A truck transporting a large dinosaur was traveling head on into a resident’s car on Foss Avenue at 12:12 p.m. When it drove past, the tail of the dinosaur hit the resident’s car, causing damage.

Vandalism: A fence surrounding a property on The Alameda was damaged.

Suspicious Person: A man was unloading and repacking his car on San Rafael Avenue. It was believed he was homeless and lives out of his car.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported her roommate was trying to steal her car on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Officers contacted the resident and were unsure why she thought the roommate was attempting to steal the car since he wasn’t around.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident’s roommate moved out on San Francisco Boulevard, but she believed he gained entry to her locked bedroom.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident’s roommate was at her residence causing an argument on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:36 p.m.

Fire: A fire alarm went off and residents could smell sulfur on San Francisco Boulevard at 10:17 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported someone threw something against his front wall on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Saturday, Oct. 8

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident heard a “pounding” noise coming from the side of his house on Park Way at 4:17 a.m.

Disturbing the Peace: There was a verbal altercation with threats made on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:04 a.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Jordan Avenue at 12:12 p.m.

Noise: Loud music was playing since 9 p.m. the night before on Buena Vista Avenue.

Juvenile: A resident was concerned about juveniles hanging around on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:16 p.m. He was concerned they were becoming rambunctious.

Animal: A dog was left in a car in front of a residence on Woodland Avenue.

Juvenile: A group of juveniles were hanging out with their cars and blocking access on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:34 p.m.

Juveniles: A group of juveniles were making noise at Saunders Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 7

Fire: There was a fire underneath a residence on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:51 a.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Allyn Avenue at 11:46 a.m.

Accident – No Injury: A resident wanted advice on a traffic collision on a previous date.

Suspicious Person: Subjects were in Memorial Park drinking alcohol at 6:38 p.m.

Vandalism: An officer located what appeared to be vandalism to a residence on Red Hill Avenue at 10:33 p.m.
