San Anselmo Police Logs: Feb. 18-21

Monday, Feb. 21
Suspicious Circumstances: Three subjects were parked at a bus stop on Center Boulevard at 12:45 a.m. They said they were picking up a friend. Officers contacted them and conducted a content search. The subjects checked out ok.
Noise: Someone had been knocking on a resident’s door on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:48 a.m. and talking through the wall and laughing.

Department of Public Works Notification: The creek behind a house on Laurel Avenue was getting backed up with leaves and debris at 9:06 a.m.
Disturbing the Peace: A man and woman were yelling and hitting each other on Lansdale Avenue at 9:15 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 20
Hit and Run: A resident witnessed a hit and run at Bolinas Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:29 p.m.
Animal Call: Someone abandoned a very large snake on Oak Avenue at 4:05 p.m. Officers took custody of it and turned it over to Marin Humane Society.
Suspicious Circumstances: A subject attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill on Woodland Avenue. A similar incident occurred in December.
Suspicious Circumstances: A customer parked his car on San Anselmo Avenue and went on a bike ride. He hasn’t returned and there was concerned something happened to him. It was confirmed he had just parked his car and walked home.
Fire: A chimney was on fire on Oak Knoll Avenue at 7:55 p.m.
Hit and Run: A resident witnessed a hit and run at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Bolinas Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 19
Fire: Smoke was reported on Sunny Hills Drive at 8:57 a.m. Officer found it to be steam from a laundry room.
Suspicious Circumstances: A resident found an open door at a neighbor’s house on Berlin Avenue at 3:32 p.m. It appeared to be an oversight.
Friday, Feb. 18
Hit and Run: A stoplight was damaged sometime the day before at Broadmoor Avenue and was leaning.
Tree Down: There was a tree down blocking the road on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:16 p.m.
Juvenile: A resident requested to speak with an officer regarding her 14-year-old daughter who was refusing to come home. The officer spoke with the juvenile by phone, who agreed to return home within the hour.
