San Anselmo Police: Leaf Blowers, Remote-Controlled Cars, Stolen Cell Phone

Monday, June 6
Petty Theft: A juvenile stole a cell phone and was cited and released to a responsible adult.
Accident – No Injury: There was a collision involving a parked car on Lincoln Park at 10:07 a.m.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop on Greenfield Avenue at 11:22 a.m., a man was determined to be an unlicensed driver. He was cited and his car was impounded for 30 days.
Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at San Francisco Boulevard and Memorial Park at 12:16 p.m., he was determined to be an unlicensed driver. He was cited and released.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported receiving a suspicious phone call, where a subject was trying to scam him for money.
Animal: Dogs were reported off leash on Crescent Road at 2:44 p.m. Officer checked the park and located a Chihuahua being held by its owner.
Vandalism: Someone took an ax to a resident’s tree on Santa Barbara Avenue. Officers determined the tree was not damaged, but was uprooted.
Solicitor: Two subjects with clipboards were going door to door on Santa Barbara Avenue at 5:27 p.m., but they seemed to be going to houses were nobody was home. Officers contacted two phone company employees.
Solicitor: A man was soliciting for the phone company on Butterfield Road at 5:59 p.m.
Suspicious Person: A man was standing in a neighbor’s backyard on Magnolia Avenue at 11:18 p.m. and then walked towards the library.
Sunday, June 5Â
Noise: There was a group playing basketball and making noise on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:38 a.m.
Accident – No Injury: There was a two-vehicle collision on Sir Francis Drake Bouleavrd at 1:05 p.m.
Disturbing the Peace: A domestic disturbance was reported on Spaulding Avenue at 3:08 p.m.
Noise: Subjects were racing a remote-controlled car up and down Sunnyhills Drive at 7:29 p.m. and vehicles had to stop for it.
Driving Under the Influence: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Madrone Avenue at 11:18 p.m., a man was determined to be driving while intoxicated. He was booked into the county jail and his car was left legally parked.
Saturday, June 4
Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Mountain View Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:34 a.m., a man was determined to be an unlicensed driver. He was cited and released.
Suspicious Vehicle: Two suspicious men were reported sitting in a car at Tunstead and San Anselmo Avenues at 8:33 a.m. They appeared to be watching the intersection.
Reckless Driving: A resident was following an erratic driver on San Anselmo Avenue at 10:26 a.m.
Trespassing: Officer contacted subject for trespassing on Bridge Avenue at 11:25 a.m.
Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Greenfield and Sequoia Avenues at 12:05 p.m., a woman was determined to be an unlicensed driver. She was issued a notice to appear and released.
Suspicious Circumstances: A car was parked on Woodside Drive with the gas cap open at 4:50 p.m.
Suspicious Person: A suspicious subject was walking on Center Boulevard acting strangely at 5:28 p.m. Officers contacted him and he was en route to San Rafael.
Friday, June 3
Suspicious Person: There was a suspicious subject on Greenfield Avenue at 12:14 a.m. Officers located a subject, who was just walking home, and abated him from the area.
Municipal Code Violation: A leaf blower was in use on Magnolia Avenue in violation of town ordinance.
Hit and Run: There was a hit-and-run collision on San Anselmo Avenue at 10:44 a.m.
Hazard: There was an anonymous report of a resident’s memorial to his cat in the street on Woodland Avenue.
Suspicious Circumstances: A resident heard what sounded like a child crying on Lincoln Park at 9:21 p.m.
