San Anselmo Police: Mailbox Vandalized, Juvenile Problems, Man Arrested at Memorial Park

Sunday, April 17

Vandalism: A resident’s mailbox was vandalized the night before on Forrest Avenue. An officer responded and took a report.

Vandalism: There was vandalism on a speed sign on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Found: A dog was found on San Anselmo Avenue at 5 p.m.

Warrant Arrest: An officer initiated activity at Memorial Park and arrested a man who had four outstanding warrants at 5:18 p.m. He was booked into county jail without incident.

Noise: A subject was using a loud sander on Magnolia Avenue at 6:29 p.m. An officer responded and found it didn’t fall under the construction ordinance.

Animal: A resident could hear coyotes at San Francisco Boulevard and Santa Cruz Avenue at 8:41 p.m. 

Saturday, April 16

Open Door: An officer located an open door at a business on Magnolia Avenue at 2:59 a.m. The building was clear and the door was resecured.

Public Intoxication: A resident reported an intoxicated female subject at Agatha Court and Saunders Avenue at 6:30 a.m. She was determined to be publicly intoxicated and was transported to Marin General, where she was cited and released to staff.

Suspicious Circumstances: An unknown person knocked on a resident’s door on Luna Lane and said he was a neighbor and wanted to give her an invite.

Driving with an Expired License: At a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:15 p.m., a man was cited and released for driving on an expired license.

Accident – No Injury: A resident reported that she struck a parked car on Ramona Way and was unable to locate the owner at 5:31 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A juvenile urinated on a woman’s car’s tire on San Anselmo Avenue at 10:48 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject was looking in the windows at Perry’s Art Supply with a flashlight at 11:22 p.m. 

Friday, April 15 

Juvenile: A resident reported that her juvenile son was out of control on Hawthorne Avenue at 1:01 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported subjects in the lobby of a building on San Anselmo Avenue, who believed they had been followed by a man, at 3:08 a.m.

Suspicious Person: There was a subject yelling on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:13 a.m. Officers located a juvenile and transported him home.

Vandalism: There was damage to a light on a property on Magnolia Avenue.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported an elderly subject causing a disturbance on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:01 a.m. Officers contacted the female subject and transported her home.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a parked car with its engine running on San Anselmo Avenue at 10:51 a.m. Officer could not locate the owner, so he took possession of the keys and locked the car.

Barking Dog: A resident reported dogs continually barking on Pine Street at 3:36 p.m.

Violation of Court Order: A resident reported a violation of an emergency protective order.
