San Anselmo Police: Man and Car on Fire, DUI Accident

Thursday, Sept. 1
Barking Dog: Dogs were barking on Crescent Road at 6:33 p.m. Officers contacted a group of people with dogs.
Barking Dog: There was a dog barking on Agatha Court at 7:03 p.m.

Fire: There were multiple reports of a man and car on fire on Sierra Avenue at 7:33 p.m. Officers and fire department responded.
Suspicious Person: There was a suspicious subject in the area of Greenfield Avenue at 8:06 p.m.

Suspicious Person: A suspicious man was walking at San Anselmo and Scenic Avenues at 8:26 p.m. and banged on a resident’s car window.
Accident with DUI Driver: There were multiple reports of a reckless driver at Brookside Drive and Broadmoor Avenue at 8:52 p.m., who was involved in at least one hit-and run collision. Officers located the car and the driver was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and booked on charges of driving with a suspended license, hit and run, probation violation, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Noise: There was a loud party on Oakland Avenue at 10:19 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 31
Disturbing the Peace: There was a verbal altercation at a residence on Ross Avenue at 3:32 a.m.
Suspicious Circumstances: Two teens were in a car, possibly using drugs, at Tomahawk Drive and Indian Rock Road at 7:32 a.m. Officers responded, but the car was gone.
Vehicle Hazard: A car had fallen off a truck at Red Hill Avenue and Essex Street at 11:17 a.m., causing a hazard.
Suspicious Person: There was a subject hitchhiking on Forbes Avenue at 11:34 a.m.
Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:11 p.m.
Suspicious Person: A subject was yelling at passing cars on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:17 p.m.
Noise: A resident heard what sounded like a subject rifling through the dumpster on Smith Lane at 10:08 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 30
Sleeper: There was a person sleeping besides a building on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:49 a.m.
Disturbing the Peace: A kid was screaming for help inside a car on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:30 a.m. The driver said his son was having a temper tantrum.
Suspicious Person: A subject was hitchhiking at Bridge Court and Center Boulevard at 11:18 a.m. They were warned and abated.
Suspicious Circumstances: A subject was decorating a tree on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard with Christmas lights at 2:18 p.m.
Suspicious Circumstances: A wire fell at Greenfield and Terrace Avenues. It was a cable line.
Suspicious Circumstances: A car with an exterior speaker system was driving on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:36 p.m.
Animal: A dog sounded distressed in the backyard of a residence on Oak Avenue at 9:39 p.m.Â
Monday, Aug. 29
Noise: There was a jack hammering sound on Greenfield Avenue at 3:51 a.m. An officer found it was faulty stereo equipment.
Animal: A resident heard her neighbor’s dog barking and yelping on Belle Avenue at 5:59 a.m.
Solicitor: A solicitor requested police assistance regarding a verbal altercation on Red Hill Avenue at 11:53 a.m.
Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that her neighbor made strange statements on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:04 p.m.
Vandalism: There was graffiti on Butterfield Road.
Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported that her ex-husband was blocking her driveway on Magnolia Avenue at 5:26 p.m. Officers contacted the male subject, who was in the area, but not blocking the driveway.
Disturbing the Peace: There was a verbal argument between family members and their daughter’s boyfriend on Merced Avenue at 6:37 p.m.
Reckless Driving: There was a speeding car on Humboldt Avenue at 7:19 p.m.
Noise: There was excessive music playing at a residence on Ash Avenue at 9:19 p.m.
Disturbing the Peace: A resident reported his neighbor was yelling and banging on walsl on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:18 p.m.
