San Anselmo Police: Men Digging Holes, Wires Start Fire, Car Crash

Monday, Sept. 5
Suspicious Person: There were multiple calls regarding a man walking in the middle of traffic on Greenfield Avenue at 12:15 a.m. Officers contacted the subject, who was warned.
Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Suffield Avenue at 12:37 a.m., a man was determined to be driving while unlicensed. He was cited and released and his car was impounded.

Suspicious Circumstances: A suspicious car was occupied by a man at Jordan Avenue and Alpine Terrace a 9:42 a.m. A resident believes the subject lives in the car and frequently parks there to sleep.
Solicitor: A subject was soliciting on Woodside Drive at 4 p.m. and it was unclear if he had a valid permit.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two men were digging holes at Memorial Park at 8:10 p.m. They were patching up holes.
Barking Dog: There was a dog barking on Oak Avenue at 11:19 p.m.
Suspicious Person: A man was either talking to himself or on the phone for an hour at 11 p.m., standing in his driveway on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.
Sunday, Sept. 4
Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported seeing flashlights outside on Oak Springs Drive at 2:12 a.m. Nothing unusual was found, but the resident called back and said he could hear male voices outside.
Power Outage: There was a tree crash near Brookside Drive and a power outage at 8:40 a.m.
Disturbing the Peace: A neighbor was yelling and threatening a resident on Tamalpais Avenue at 10:58 a.m.
Suspicious Person: A man was talking to himself and seemed to be homeless at Memorial Park at 11:39 a.m.
Grand Theft: A resident reported her watch was taken from her residence on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.
Accident – Minor Injury: There was a two-car collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:01 p.m. One driver was taken to the hospital.
Driving without a License: While on a report of a collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, an officer determined one driver was unlicensed. She was cited and released and her car was impounded.
Suspicious Person: A man was walking through the area of Sunnyhills Drive and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:29 p.m. yelling and swearing.
Prowler: A resident heard footsteps on his rear porch and believed someone was there on Carlson Court at 11:23 p.m.
Suspicious Circumstances: A man was loitering on Kensington Road at 11:28 p.m. and when she called out to him, he ducked behind something. Officers contacted a group nearby, who confirmed the same. The subject wasn’t located.
Saturday, Sept. 3
Juveniles: Two juveniles broke a bench in front of a business on San Anselmo Avenue at 5:58 p.m. The parents were contacted and agreed to pay for damages.
Suspicious Circumstances: Subjects were fishing in the creek off of San Anselmo Avenue at 7:31 p.m.
Noise: There was a loud party on Hillside Avenue at 9:44 p.m.
Noise: There was a loud party in the backyard of a residence on Woodside Drive at 11:42 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 2
Shots Fired: What sounded like a shot was heard in the area of Allyn Avenue at 12:29 a.m.
Fire: There were multiple reports of a tree down on live wires on Redwood Road and flames in the area at 12:39 a.m.
Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported suspicious activity on Center Boulevard at 10:33 a.m., but officers found nothing suspicious.
Hit and Run: A resident reported that an unknown person hit his car on Pine Street.
