San Anselmo Police: Shoplifting, Intoxicated Men at Comforts, Juvenile Altercation

Thursday, March 3 

Accident – Minor Injury: A car had its airbag deployed on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:13 a.m. Officers responded with medics and a report was taken.

Disturbing the Peace: A resident was involved in a verbal altercation on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:28 a.m.

Missing Person: A resident on Bennit Avenue reported that her daughter had been stealing from her and had run away from home.

Suspicious Person: A person ran through the playground of the school on Ross Avenue at 12:06 p.m.

Juveniles: A juvenile was being physically aggressive towards staff members on Sunnyhills Drive at 12:48 p.m.

Noise: There was amplified music on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:20 p.m.

Driving with an Expired License: At a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:06 p.m., a driver was determined to be driving on an expired license and was cited and released.

Juveniles: A resident on Scenic Road reported that her daughter was out of control at 7:47 p.m.

Wednesday, March 2 

Shoplifting: There was a report of shoplifting on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:45 p.m.

Driving without a License: An officer initiated activity at Red Hill and Buena Vista Avenues at 1:16 p.m. and a man was determined to be driving without a license. He was cited and released.

Suspicious Person: An officer was flagged down regarding a suspicious subject in the area of Tunstead Avenue at 1:22 p.m.

Public Intoxication: Three males appeared to be intoxicated at Comforts at 4:07 p.m.

Terrorist Threats: There was a verbal altercation between juveniles that appeared to be escalating on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:20 p.m. The parties were contacted and one was arrested and transported to Juvenile Hall for public intoxication and threats.

Disturbing the Peace: There was a disturbance on Woodland Avenue at 5:22 p.m. Officers responded and contacted the residents; a juvenile was counseled.

Suspicious Circumstances: Multiple residents called in reporting a Golden Gate Transit bus with its emergency sign flashing at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Suffield Avenue at 6:48 p.m. An officer contacted the bus driver, who advised it was an accidental activation.

Suspicious Person: Multiple callers reported a solicitor on Alderney Road at 6:57 p.m.

Vehicle Mishap: A large truck attempted to turn around on Miwok Drive and became caught at 7:12 p.m.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon: An officer took a report of an assault on Greenfield Avenue.

Tuesday, March 1

Animal: There was a friendly dog loose on San Anselmo Avenue at 6:01 p.m. He appeared skinny and skittish.

Noise: There was a loud group of juveniles at a house on Ridge Road at 8:22 p.m.

Citizen Assist: A man came into the police department and needed assistance getting home at 9:34 p.m. Officer provided advice on bus routes.

Monday, Feb. 28

Brandishing Weapon: A juvenile brandished a knife at another juvenile, but no one was injured, on Sunnyhills Drive at 9:54 a.m. Officers responded and contacted the juvenile.

Found Property: A resident reported that a bike he believed had been reported as stolen was chained to a fence on the Magnolia Lot.

Annoying Phone Calls: A resident has been receiving harassing phone calls and text messages.

Reckless Driving: A resident was in the second lane on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, trying to continue straight onto Center, but a drive cut her off and the occupants were laughing at her.
