San Anselmo Police: Stolen Car Found in Road, DUI Driver Flees Scene

Thursday, Dec. 8

Noise: There was loud music coming from an apartment on Tunstead Avenue at 1:42 a.m.

Wires Down: There were wires down in the road on The Alameda at 12:11 p.m.

Trespassing: An evicted tenant appeared to have returned and was living in the apartment again on Buena Vista Avenue. The subject was cited and abated and the apartment was secured.

Petty Theft: A bike was stolen on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Laurel Avenue at 8:18 p.m.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: A resident reported a stalled car in the road at Red Hill and Sequoia Avenues at 10:04 p.m. Officers responded and found the car reported as stolen. The woman was arrested and booked into county jail for car theft.

Disturbing the Peace: Three subjects were in a verbal altercation on San Anselmo Avenue at 10:17 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that his neighbor had a flood light on on Alder Avenue at 11:41 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

Accident – No Injury: There was a non-injury collision at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Calumet Avenue at 8:36 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that a female juvenile was being sent inappropriate photographs via text message.

Reckless Driving: There was a reckless driver on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:06 p.m.

Burglary: Two computers, an iPod and a Wii console were missing from a residence on The Alameda.

Threats: A suspicious subject was on San Francisco Boulevard yelling racist remarks at a resident and her family at 3:41 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

Road Rage: There was a road rage incident between two subjects at Madrone Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:51 p.m. One party had left the area before officers arrived.

Hazard: A man driving a truck lost two boxes of Styrofoam packing peanuts in the road at Sir Francis Drake and San Francisco Boulevards.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at San Anselmo and Bolinas Avenues at 4:11 p.m., a man was determined to be driving while unlicensed. He was cited and his car was left legally parked.

Accident – No Injury: A resident reported a non-injury collision at San Francisco and Sir Francis Drake Boulevards at 5:47 p.m., when a car drove up onto the sidewalk. Officers confirmed no injuries.

Suspicious Circumstances: A man and woman knocked on a resident’s door on Mariposa Avenue at 6:35 p.m. When he advised them of the no trespassing sign, they became belligerent and left.

Accident – No Injury: A three-car collision at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Butterfield Road was blocking traffic at 6:50 p.m. Two cars were towed from the scene.

Monday, Dec. 5

Animal: A resident reported a lost cat on Oak Springs Drive.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a possible theft by a roommate on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Sleeper: A car was parked on a property on Shaw Drive and a man was sleeping inside at 7:05 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A bike was found on the ground on Cedar Street at 7:44 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two men were attempting to take cardboard from behind a business on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:55 p.m. They also had two pallets in their truck, but it wasn’t sure if they belonged to the store as well.

Minor Injury with DUI Driver: Two cars were blocking traffic in the westbound lane on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:11 p.m. Cars were occupied and one person was trying to direct traffic. Officers responded and found one party had left the scene on foot and left their car blocking traffic. The driver later came to the police station and officers determined she was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked into the county jail without incident.
