San Anselmo Walks Into Popular Summer Program

SAN ANSELMO, CA – Summer evening strolls in San Anselmo are about get more relaxing and a lot safer.
The town on Monday announced plans to return “On the Avenue,” a program calls for the shuttering of a busy stretch of road for pedestrian access only.
The town will open San Anselmo Avenue from Tamalpais to Tunstead avenues during the warm summer months.

The program will run from 6 to 10:30 p.m. on Fridays and from 5 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
“The town is excited to welcoming shoppers and diners back every weekend to enjoy themselves and to take advantage of this safe community space,” town officials said in a statement.
