
Fairfax police reported Thursday afternoon, in an alert sent out to residents and schools, that a suspicious man had approached a 13-year-old girl waiting at the bus stop in front of the Fairfax Library.
According to officers, a bald, black man between 23- and 35-years-old, approached a girl standing at the bus stop around 4:30 p.m. The man, who reportedly drove a silver car, possibly a Chevrolet, asked the girl for her name, her cell phone number, and if she wanted to "have a good time."
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
