The couple won over voters with their then and now photo and story of a chance meeting with a sailor on leave in South Africa. This is what they wrote with their photos:

[The photos are of] Natasha & Kevin in Cape Town in 1993 and again nearly twenty years later. Kevin was on a ship in Cape Town, South Africa and had plans to meet a mutual friend, Natalie, for breakfast at the train station. Natalie was to introduce the two of us [Kevin and Natasha], but she overslept. She called the local tourism office and convinced someone there to find both of us in front of the station lest we part ways. Hence, Kevin & Natasha were introduced by this kindly tour guide and we've been together ever since!
