What's on the Agenda for Tonight's Fairfax Council Meeting?
Budget, medical marijuana facilities, Berg lawsuit, business licenses, and batting cages will be discussed.
The Fairfax Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight at the Women's Club on Park Road. On the agenda:
- Announcements of the Little League Parade on March 12, annual BrewFest on March 19, and upcoming Teen Night this Friday.
- A presentation from HF&H Consultants will be heard on proposed solid waste rate increases.
- Report on the status of the clean-up of the .
- Approve a position.
- Adoption of financial and reserve policies.
- Terminate the MOU with San Anselmo for recreation services.
- Honor Library Branch Manager Gail Wiemann upon her retirement.
- Adoption of resolution in support of the union workers in Wisconsin.
- Introduction of ordinance to certain commercial districts of town.
- Consider a request for a driveway variance at 77 Porteous Avenue.
- Consider and discuss terminating services with Muni Services, LLC for administration of the business license program -- following.
- Update on the over disputed access across private property. Also consider using Open Space funds to protect town rights.
- Discuss and consider consolidating the Planning Commission and Design Review Board and implement a General Plan Implementation Committee.
- Consider a local sales tax for Fairfax.
- Consider using some of the Measure I funds to complete batting cages at Contratti Field.
