Great Deed: Zwick pitched a no-hitter against Novato High School in the JV match-up on Monday, May 9. The 7-0 win came on the heels of another shutout for the team by pitcher Kyle Aubrey against San Rafael.
"I'm really proud of our team," said Zwick, who was nervous during the game until the Pirates were able to pull ahead during the fourth and fifth inning. At that point, it became stressful solely for Zwick, who realized he was on the brink of a perfect game.

The JV squad plays their last game against Tam this afternoon, but both Zwick and Aubrey have been called up to the Varsity squad for the playoff portion of the season.
Key to Awesomeness: Zwick has been playing baseball since he was six years old, which included four years with the San Anselmo Baseball Association. He hopes to be on the pitching staff for the Varsity Drake squad next year, but he's proud of how the JV team has played this year. The two pitchers having back-to-back shut-outs was a proud moment for them and a result of their hard work.
Although the team had a winning record and played well, Zwick said he felt their losses weren't necessarily the result of being out-played, but a product of their own mistakes.
"We've done really well, but I feel like we haven't lived up to our potential," Zwick said.Â
And how did Zwick celebrate his exciting game?
"My parents took me out to dinner for Sol Food," he said.
