2 Car Thieves From Out Of Town Arrested In This San Mateo County City

SAN BRUNO, CA — Officers in San Bruno recovered two stolen cars Sunday, including one that had been carjacked in Pleasant Hill, police said.

On Sunday, San Bruno Police Department officers said they received a report that a car that was just stolen in South San Francisco had been seen in San Bruno.

Officers said they found the car and took the suspect into custody before handing them off to the South San Francisco Police Department.

A few hours later, police found a carjacked car from Pleasant Hill that had been left double-parked downtown.

Police said they tracked down the suspect and handed him over to Pleasant Hill Police Department officers.

"Even when crimes don’t originate here, we take pride in partnering with law enforcement agencies across the Bay Area to keep our communities safe, hold suspects accountable, and return property to victims," police said.
