Crane Accident Leaves Hundreds Without Power

Several hundred PG&E customers were left without power in South San Francisco and San Bruno on Monday in an outage that impacted Caltrain service as well, a PG&E spokeswoman said.

A crane in the area of Huntington Avenue and Angus Avenue West took down power lines at around 9:30 p.m. in San Bruno, PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.

Two lines went across the nearby Caltrain track, setting back train service for about an hour. Train service was restored at 10:30 p.m., Morris said.

Initially 595 PG&E customers were left without power. By 10:30 p.m., repair crews had restored power to all but 306 customers, and by 11:30 p.m., 219 customers were without power.

Power was expected to be restored to all PG&E customers by midnight today, Morris said.
